Author, Editor, Run a Magazine or Podcast? – Review AN AMOROUS THING
Hey everyone,
Since the date is slowly but surely getting closer to the end of the writing process of An Amorous Thing, I’m trying to kickstart interested parties into reviewing the collection. I’ve already got a lot of people interested/willing in reviewing the collection (authors, magazines, podcasts, etc.,) but I’d like to add a few more to my list, if at all possible.
So, without giving too much away…
BRIEF SYNOPSIS
Centering around the theme of affection, An Amorous Thing features fifteen stories from the darker side of life. From the loving concern of a wife worried about her husband coming home late at night to the love of a pet, An Amorous Thing delves into affection. The good, the bad, the wonderful, the the amorous–all are present in everyday life whether we like it or not. They haunt our dreams, walk our streets, and sleep in the bed beside us at night, all for one reason.
Welcome to a world of affection–a world of amorous things.
Now for the back-cover synopsis:
BACK-COVER SYNOPSIS
People love.
It’s the way of the world. Hug your neighbor, kiss your lover, hold a hand or bear a child—every action comes with a consequence, and every consequence bears a reaction. In a world where people live, die, and give birth to the cycle of madness, affection is required to live a sane life.
Or so they say.
Take a trip to a cemetery, then fall in love with a bell; ride your bicycle down the street, then have your face cut open by a beautiful woman; fall in love with a monster and play the benevolent god to creatures that cannot understand you. These are amorous things, these acts of violence, and they wouldn’t be committed if they didn’t care about you.
Welcome to a world of madness.
Welcome to a world of affection—a world of amorous things.
Currently, the collection is scheduled for a possible early-2010 release.

New interview posted
Hey guys!
A few days back, I was interviewed by the lovely and amazing Rhiannon Frater, the author of the As the World Dies trilogy and the vampire novel Pretty When She Dies. Her rise to stardom over the past year has been amazing to watch and I’m extremely happy to call her a friend.
Along with various questions about writing in general, I also touched on some specific things about my now out-of-print novel Sunrise, as well as my upcoming collection An Amorous Thing. It was a fun interview to do and I’m hoping to do more to help promote An Amorous Thing in the near future.
